The main responsibilities of KIGTE
  • The accuracy assessment of genetic testing results and quality management
  • Evaluation and management of protocol adequacy in genetic testing agencies
  • Evaluation and management of the suitability of genetic testing facilities and equipment
  • Evaluation and management of human resources for genetic testing
  • Evaluation of adequacy and guideline formulation for genetic testing
  • Document Assessment

    Evaluating the appropriateness of genetic test items and reviewing whether the exemption criteria for external quality assessment and on-site inspection are met. All assessments are based on the current survey form.

  • On-site Inspection

    The planning and operation of a program in which experts visit genetic testing agencies to assess regulatory compliance and testing quality.

  • External Quality Assessment

    The planning and operation of an external quality control program in which samples are sent to a genetic testing agency to evaluate the accuracy of the test.
